you want to know frustrating?... go to autozone and ask for some 1310 series spicer u-joints... i literally had to go back home, get online, and find a stock application that uses them so i could go back to the parts store and have the kid find them thru the hunt and peck method.

You arent kidding. I asked for a 1350 ujoint and had to do the same thing. Guy had no idea what a 1350 joint was.

I was looking for a blower motor resistor/relay and harness for my 05 silverado. They didn't have a clue as to what I was talking about. The chevy pickups have had this problem for years. Went to napa picked up the parts the same day. Autozone sucks.

The low blinker fluid light came on in my truck just the other day. I'll have to run over to Autozone and pick some up.

Other good ones would be to ask for meniscus bearings and fallopian tubing.

Not autozone but along the same lines. When I was in high school I has a '84 Z28 Camaro and took it to Sears to check on getting new struts. He said he needed my vin number. When I asked why he needed that he said he needed to confirm the drive line. He said that they made both front and rear wheel drive cars in those years. After 10 minutes of arguing that no Z28 had ever been nor will be front wheel drive I just left. I did not want these clowns touching my car.

Ive sold a few auto parts in my time. After I had been in the business for a couple years, under the tutaledge of some REAL "old time" Parts Men, I went to get a job at a Bumper to Bumper store in Long Beach MS where I was living at the time (88-89). The old long haired redneck that "managed" the store, had worked it out so he had 3 Chicks working there. One KNEW what she was doing (not bad looking), and the other 2 (pretty hot) deliverd parts (were just for him to look at). But the main office was after him to hire some Males, and I just happen to walk in as he was getting off the phone with them. He said he had a "test" (it WAS something he gave to anyone looking for a job). It was like 2 or 3 pages of parts to look up for different cars. I whizzed through it, wondering why in the world it would be ANY trouble for anyone. Then I came to the last one;

I started the next morning!!

call me crazy, but i would call that window washer fluid.

i would say that would be cleaning the window not deicing headlight and blinkers(well i call at blinker fluid at least but i dont own a benz nor would i and the only volvo id drive is the c30 )

WHY debate that window washing fluid applied to the headlights is blinker fluid?

they are referred to as headlight washers, they use the same stuff the windshield uses and unless i'm mistaken it even comes from the same reservoir. the heated fluid is just an option on some, although i have never ever had a problem with a turn signal or high beam 'icing up'...

and most, if not all window washing fluid (that i know of) contains an antifreeze element in it.
