If you're running asphalt much, you might want to try 50-60 front, 40-50 rear oil--fast speeds & high traction equal really high cornering forces that will put 30-35wt on the chassis every corner

All done!

Playing with my wide angle lens in these:

I am using an xl-5 esc from my slash, an old futaba magnum sport AM radio and receiver, and a 17t speed gem motor. I need to work on the gearing though. Had it geared 21/86 and the motor was over 160deg after a few minutes. Put a 90t spur on and the pinion came off outside! It was just as the sun was going down, and I couldn't find it in the street :( Gunna check again tomorrow. That was the smallest pinion I had on hand!

I also took my old already hacked up battery cups and hacked them up some more. I servo tapped the esc and receiver to them and bolted the cups to the chassis. No more marks on the chassis prying stuff of of it!

While I had it out it actualy traction rolled. My heart stopped for a split second. Luckily it landed on its wheels like it was a damn gymnast doing it on purpose. At 21/86 it seemed like its top speed was 30+. Light was fading fast, didn't get a chance to gps it. The receiver antenna was rather short, but didn't look like it was cut. The reception is pretty bad, I might try a different receiver I have a bunch hanging around. I'm thinking of trying to find a slower motor. It was fun...but going that fast I was paranoid I was going to break it!
