Re: rc10t to short course truck!
ya nitro would be cool, i have a tub chassis rc10gt also and was thinking of doing it as well, if there was some type of class for it that would be fun. i love the older stuff, back then things had more style and engineering into them it seems. and rc racing comes mostly down to smooth driving, so if your good it doesnt matter if its old technology.

great work, I noticed on the chassis bottom shot, there are no holes drilled to mount the rear bulkhead, are you using only the side bolt holes to hold it in?

Re: rc10t to short course truck!

Sounds like you have a SC10? If so, could you do a lap time comparison?

Tower has the Jconcepts white rim in stock. Would go nicely with all the other white bits you have there. I love these SC10T conversions, amazing workmanship. It's the engineering on the old AE machines that fascinates me and this project has got the same spirit.

Re: rc10t to short course truck!
hey thanks for showing me these rims! i didnt even know they existed. they would definitely look great with the white sceme. and thanks for all the compliments! i still havent gotten around to making the body posts but when i do im gunu slap in my brushless setup and a lipo and race it.

I think an 80's body would go well with the retro SC10T truck. I wonder if I could carve a plug out of foam or clay. I found this gem of a link:

Ain't she sweet:

Awesome work, Its good to see people with skill sets putting them to good use! Besides its a good way to recycle your old R/C Stuff. Im doing a SC10T3 conversion and might do a 10Gt as well. We might start a conversion open class!

I would be all over a retro Toyota to fit a slash/sc10 if it was done well.
