in the summer we get up to 30 degrees celsius
Sounds like hell......
NOT! I wish that was the extent of our summer. I work on site and sometimes the slab reaches over 60 degrees on a 40+ day. I live on the Gold Coast and in some parts of the region the humidity is just stupid mad.

Same here in Nashville, our winters are pretty light. So when it does snow or get icy you have a bunch of what I like to call "self-important suit wearing clowns" driving like idiots in their BMW's and crashing into everything... Did I mention a lot of music execs live here? I got rear ended by one that wouldn't get off his blackberry for the cop writing him a ticket.
Not to offend anyone that wears suits, drives a BMW or does Bday parties on the weekends, that was a rant about my particular winter incident

It's supposed to be 103 to 105 F with the heat index this weekend in Northern Alabama and I have to move in the middle of it.

So far we've had a very mild year with exception of a few days of triple digits in May. Towards the end of this week we're supposed to be pushing triples again. Anything over 95 really starts to get hot around here.

We have been around 70-75 most of the time so far this summer. We had a few days that reached close to 90. A lot more rain then I would like though.

No, despite all the snow etc, I don't think we ever lost power. I think it flickered a few times, but never fully went out. It was my sons first snow. I have a couple shots of him on the neighbors sled riding down the driveway. I tried going out on my skis but it was difficult. I need to pick up X country skis for next time. We had so much snow there were shortages of SNOW SHOVELS!!! My friend had to order off Ebay, but delivery was delayed due to weather.
As far as crashes go... This made headlines a few years back, not last year.

Halgar,
Yea, I've tried to get people together for a vintage race up here.

I remember seeing that. I made it to work by the airport and I live in Vancouver. I was driving my 2wd ranger work truck and no I didn't have any chains. I didn't think it was that bad.

I just went out for lunch. Walking just to the car, I started sweating my a$$ off, but I am a sweating fool. This is when I miss Michigan.
