More like, what do you think of her magazine spreads? I saw the one where the female cop pulls her over.... kinda of left the mind wondering. I never looked to see what happened next on-line.
I am not here cause I am playing photographer and on my mountain bike.

McLaren there are those Kiwis again...only 3 million of us we do pretty well in motorsport..the winner of the indylights race Wade Cunningham is a Kiwi to..Bongo Fury wrote:Indy has almost always attracted an international field, both cars and drivers. I have very fond memories of when some of the F1 guys used to come over. Clark, Stewart, Hill, Lotus, McLaren, the glory years IMO. Before my time it was Maseratis, Ferraris, Alfa I believe, etc. Little known fact, in the '50s Indy counted towards the F1 title.
But except for a brief time during the rear engine revolution in the mid '60s, the race was generally won by an US driver. That doesn't seem to happen much anymore. All of our hot shoes have went to Nascar.

Indeed, believe you’ve had some pretty good bike riders too.tizeye wrote:McLaren there are those Kiwis again...only 3 million of us we do pretty well in motorsport..the winner of the indylights race Wade Cunningham is a Kiwi to..
Sad day when Bruce lost it. Loved those Can Am beasts though. Hard to imagine in these Nascar dominated times that road racing was actually popular once upon a time in the US. Can Am and Trans Am both were once thriving series.

Re: Anybody watching Indy
I heard recently that they are going to make a movie on the life of Bruce McLaren I thank it's going to be called "The Bruce And Denny Show" (Dennis Hulme another Kiwi) and it will be directed/produced by Peter Jackson (Lord Of The Rings) It's amazing that a guy who owned a corner garage built race cars in his spare time and took them to the USA by sea which was about a 4 week trip and raced them against the best the USA had and beat them....it should be a great movie. There was an American driver as well Mark Donahue.Bongo Fury wrote:Indeed, believe you’ve had some pretty good bike riders too.tizeye wrote:McLaren there are those Kiwis again...only 3 million of us we do pretty well in motorsport..the winner of the indylights race Wade Cunningham is a Kiwi to..

Re: Anybody watching Indy
Here's a couple of pictures of the first car Bruce McLaren drove and of one of the last cars that he drove...hard to imagine that this went on to become the McLaren F1 team we all know now...they will be back on top...
