has anyone tried the epic beadlocks yet? Do they hold onto the tire good without the glue?

Congrats on the Slash, RC Chick. My son and I beat on ours pretty much every weekend, and the only thing that's broken so far is one nerf bar. Well, that, and some spur and pinion gears before I figured out the gear cover tape thing you mentioned.

I've heard the epics hold well, but I haven't tried them myself, so I can't say for certain. They sure look cool, tho... :D

They are coming out with a RTR SC10, but I'm not sure on what it will cost (still has to be higher than a Slash since they're the same price now). I've also read that the SC10 is having gearbox issues in its current form. I'm not sure how the truck was being used when that happened though (hot motor, etc)...

:?: I thought the SC10 used the gearbox of the T4
Surely if something were wrong with the T4 gearbox the people at associated would already know long time about that

The gear diff is the issue, and on a second note...I have been seeing a few snapped SC10 chassis also. Some guys are putting big aluminum skid plates on the nose to save the chassis from snapping. Even the factory drivers at the recent RCX show snapped a chassis on the demo track.

RC Chick...welcome to the slash-ka-teer club. Glad to have ya. I am FINALLY getting my son his custom paintjob I promised him for his birthday back in Feb...Painter sent me a preview, body still has the blue tinted overspray film on it.

That's a great body, my kids would love that!

Cool! I had seen this stickerset on a touring car or M-chassis before, but it looks real good on the slash body.
Can I be a big kid and have one too?

I havent cut the Rust-eze logo or numbers out yet, everything else will be paint (eyes, mouth, lightening bolts). I am thinking about having him paint up a Mr. The King for me now...LOL, how funny would that be when we are racing together?

JK- PM me an email address and I'll shoot you some images of the McQueen stickers. They are photos off of a toy-- I had the same problem a while back and my wife took pictures of a battery operated toy that my son had. I used vinyl inkjet sticker paper on the inside of the body, but you could experiment with them.
Here's the Monster McQueen I did a couple years ago for my son (5th bday):

That monster hopper looks great.

I have the logo (in .jpg) and a vinyl cutter, I just need to get yellow & maroon stock to cut the logo out. I will do the numbers in yellow, and my painter will fade the orange on them for me before we stick them on. I will attempt to get it all done before Saturday, our next race. But I fear this is gonna look to good to let a 7 year old thrash on the track.

More shots from my painters camera phone...

That looks great! I misread your post last night at work that you needed stickers (not that you needed to print out the ones you already have)-- 12 hour workdays will do that to ya.

Let him run it-- he'll have a ball!

Sorry RCChick for 'jackin your thread. ;)
