That's the consensus from all the the reviews I've seen too. So far it's a total beast on pavement. I've got two batteries charging and will head out to the park for more bashing this afternoon.

I can speak as someone who owns both and has run both side by side literally.

Just don't get it tangled up with a Slash. While faster, a SC10 looks a little fragile when compared to a Slash (especially a beefed up one).

Both side by side the Pro4 is better out of the box than the slash. The biggest problem is the lack of aftermarket parts for the associated. Then again my slash was broken in half a couple of times and rpm’d out.

I'm not saying that this is you, but just something that I notice a lot.

People start out with a Slash, learning to drive and tune. In the corse of that learning, they break a lot of stuff. At some point, they decide to step up to a racier vehicle and they aren't breaking parts anymore.

The reason that they aren't breaking the new vehicle is more likely that their driving is tons better than the horror that they put the Slash through.

Some transmission carnage in the Astute. Maybe a 6 gear would suit my driving better....

Definitely believe this to be the case. The Slash is essentially a tank on wheels, I've seen them take some serious abuse in racing at the hands of newbies. My LHS actually rents them out to people looking to drive.

Nah lol. I’m just as reckless as I was 35 years ago lol.

Trimmed a fresh body for the b64d and glued up some fresh tires and wheels. Will do some final sanding on body edges and will liquid mask tomorrow.
