Ughhh, I'll take 10 seconds of the version I posted over the entire length of yours...

It's funny, though. I just watched long enough to make sure it embedded, as the song is a bit played out for me. The video may never play out though! Even if the audio is a bit off... The first time I saw it I wondered if I was watching a music video or a Kung Fu movie! :?

My dad's B-day is tomorrow and like a lot of dads he's nearly impossible to buy for(he's a man of few needs like me). I usually get him a small gift and make him a CD. He loves music, but mostly listens to his old records from the 60s and 70s. I've outfitted him with a modern system turntable included, but for every birthday and father's day I try to open his ears to some tunes from the last 20 years that he probably hasn't heard, but will probably like. He usually enjoys listening to them as much as I enjoy making them. :D
One selection from the latest CD.

Well yeah, your version had the eye candy.

I hear ya on things getting played out. I don't listen to the radio much or watch videos, so catchy tunes like this take a while to wear me out. I also tend to listen to one song or artist repetitiously, then I don't want to listen to them anymore for a while.

Right now I'm using it to drown out the EFFing neighbors who've been blaring their booming stereo for the past 12 hours with no end in sight. Did I mention that it's currently 1am and way past my bedtime? You think I'm cranky normally? You should see me after being subjected to unrelenting, booming, oompa Mexican garbage all day!

I don't care what you like to listen to, there is NOBODY beyond 25 feet of your stereo that wants to hear it besides you!

Luckily my closest neighbor is over 100 feet away and most are a lot further. Good thing because I'm pushing 1200 watts in the tv room. I have my car pretty overpowered too, but that's because every genre of music sounds better with a good strong power source behind it and I listen to them all. I have mine set up to sound great in the car, but not to go much further than that. No one wants to hear a 37 year old dork jammin' his music!

I don't really watch tv(no time), but I always have music playing no matter where I am. Nothing like a nice back massage courtesy of Metallica on the 30 min drive home!

[quote="THEYTOOKMYTHUMB"Luckily my closest neighbor is over 100 feet away and most are a lot further.[/quote]

The idiot the other night is probably just 100 feet away, but they had the party in the yard with a sound system you could hear at least 6 blocks away, and if that wasn't enough, they had a microphone that was even louder than the music so that the DJ could be heard over it.

Lest ye think me a bitter, whining, old man (not that you'd be wrong   ), I am willing to put up with a certain level of noise from my neighbors, as well as the periodic party, but this was well beyond the acceptable level of noise on any given day, and certainly well beyond acceptable once the clock ticked past 10pm. Mind you, the noise didn't drop until almost 2am ...

Been hearin' this the last week or 2. Had no idea it was Jane's Addiction. I'll admit though, that I never really think of them much past "Been Caught Stealin'". Man that was a long time ago... :? Catchy new tune though... 8)

Took a half day off to fix the dryer. $35 in parts as opposed to $200 repairman(I should get to spend the difference on r/c related items right? ). Turned out to be the thermal shut-off and hi-temp thermostat rather than the heating element like I thought before getting in there.

Anyway...... This comes up on shuffle while doing the repairs and I thought "what an appropriate video with Halloween approaching." 8) Pretty entertaining tune and vid I think.
