Only 8 Months until the next VONATS :-)!! I wanted to know if my Rc-10 with a B3 transmission would be allowed to race again? I have no problem with getting an older stealth if needed, ebay permitting..

Thanks,

ED

If it didn't bother anyone last year I don't see a problem with it. The bigger picture is to be able to get an old car running. The race is more for the fun of driving old cars and it if makes you happier to run one with newer parts I don't really mind. If someone says something to me and I feel like it's taking away from their enjoyment, I'd obviously ask you if you could change it and lend any help I could.

SOOOOOO I have some otherwise big news for people out west. There might MIGHT just be hints of a Vintage Championships out west! Hmmmm a little birdy told me that it might be presummer too... better start wrenchin! More details to come

Erich, what are the dates for this year's vnats? My September is starting to look extremely busy.

Also, any word on the heavy metal class motor rules for those of us wanting to run a Clodbuster? (the whole reverse rotation issue)

Can I run a B4 with a Protech body in the vintage buggy class? It looks vintage.

Thanks Dirtdiver. That doesn't look good for me being able to make it this year.

Come on Mel, that gives you 8 months to get your work done. Tell your boss that you'll be sick those days and can't make it to work.

Oh, it's not work, it's what I'm trying to do for a living. (not my day job) It involves a trip over seas, depending on my schedule and travel plans, it's looking like the VNATS will fall right at the end of that trip.

Then the least you could do is paint up some portraits of your rides and send them over with Hoopty. We'll get NoThumbs and Klavy to run around the track with them.

Nothing yet since I literally just started this today but perhaps you and others won't have to fly so far to get some track time in. I'm hoping to spread tings out a little bit out there hoping it'll make the Nationals bigger next year and in the future.
Yes, yes, you have my attention :D

Decided to play it safe and picked up a 2:25 stealth on ebay.

Still working the details with the owner but I'm thinking how nice the high desert is in say may-ish :)

Melvin I don't have a date set yet, the date on the site I THINK is still from last year maybe? I would say ROUGHLY that it'll be the same weekend this year. Obviously I haven't talked to Mark or Jon yet but I'll try and get up there in the next few weeks. I have some bigger plans for this years race so I will have things moving a little earlier than usual.

No word on the Clod motor deal yet but I'll try and talk to Tamiya at the same time and let you know... you KNOW, you could just run that thing 2wd.. I'm just sayin

i have a feeling scott wouldn't want to run a FWD clod. it's the rear motor that needs to be reverse rotation.
