Re: RC10 Classic 40th anniversary
Anybody that ordered on AE’s website….is your order showing in your order history? Mine is not, although I have the order confirmation email. I reached out to customer service and they said that they indeed have my order, but it still makes me nervous.

Same here. I was worried that I got scammed since the order isn't actually through the main AE site. I do worry about being able to cancel the order if my order from a hobby shop arrives first.

Re: RC10 Classic 40th anniversary
I would probably keep them both…there will probably be a good secondary market for these.

I’m not really interested in the second market aspect. Even though I agree that it’s going to appreciate in value.
I’d just be keeping a kit out of someone else’s hands that may actually want to build and enjoy the car. I’d likely just stash it in a closet and forget about it until no one wants one anyway.

Re: RC10 Classic 40th anniversary
For S&G, I chatted with amain about when my order was anticipated to ship. The basic response is that they have it, but can't ship until 5/5. This is being dictated by AE.

Nice! Does the serial number show up anywhere? Wondering if I’d have to crack the seal to see what number I got.

I haven't heard anything yet, I was order # 2628. Would you mind sharing your order number, @duckhead?

Re: RC10 Classic 40th anniversary
I have seen a few people posting that their kit has shipped. I am in the 1200's for order numbers and haven't received anything yet.GreenBar0n wrote: ↑Fri Apr 26, 2024 8:19 pmI haven't heard anything yet, I was order # 2628. Would you mind sharing your order number, @duckhead?

Re: RC10 Classic 40th anniversary
Thanks for the update. Likely drop-shipping from 3rd party warehouse(s). Seems like a low order number will not necessarily result in a low serial number or earlier ship date. I’m 23xx and ordered 4/15.

Re: RC10 Classic 40th anniversary
So if order number has no bearing on the ship date, could it be geographic location, that they are shipping to first?
Ordered late night April 15th - just before midnight PST
Bay Area California
#2628 (if you can figure out how to steal my 40th by knowing my order number, you deserve to have it, won't ever happen though)
Got the original order email on the 15th, and nothing since.

Re: RC10 Classic 40th anniversary
How about we hold off on the shipping stuff until something actually has a tracking number and moves within a carrier's network?
As every scammer that has gotten me on FBMP knows ................. creating a shipping label is easy!
