You mean like the manufacturer itself not honoring their $319 price, shorting some retailers on “preorders” and then selling directly at 399?

The excuses some came up with to “explain” this were very amusing…

LiquidRC just sold three CC kits for $319 ea free ship, so there are some good sellers out there not looking to make a huge profit.

I had not remembered if the original price was $319.99 or $399.99 on AE's website.

Looks like it in fact was $319.99 when they started Fast Track on 10/30/23:

My LHS told me they are not receiving theirs until January '24 with no specific date from their distributor.

Pretty slimy business practice by AE and way to stick it to their loyal hobby shops and customers.

Amain shipped my kit so I am no longer on the waitlist.
Looking at the chassis it seems like it has crisper corners than the 2013 release. As well the finish is more of a lightly pebbled surface as opposed to the bushed style of the 2013.

They are one of the best online retailers I've ever dealt with. In fact, I'm putting together an order from them right now.

Did anyone else get an email from a-main to confirm the back order and stay on the preorder wait list. I got my email right after they were released but I must have been too late for the first batch.

Amain looks at your status first, before considering how long you have been on the waiting list. Anyone with higher status, regardless of when they order, automatically jump ahead of you in line.

I did get the e-mail and confirmed. My kit was shipped out soon after and I got it last night. I was glad I ordered though a-amain instead of trying to go through AE.

Ahhhh gotcha. I don’t order much stuff from their website so I was unfamiliar with that.
