Yup, drive cups are a tad longer than zerda parts, I can grind off about 1mm to let the new ones sit further onto the diff shaft.
Zerda front dogbones are 61mm

New cups are a bit longer than zerda parts but fit ok, maybe about 1mm could be ground off the new cups if necessary and 61mm bones seem the norm on the front.

Gotta paint and fit the driver. Maybe put the belt cover back but it's now a runner. I'll put some 12mm hex wheels on for running. Trim cable tie and battery straps.

Some JConcepts 3087's might work.

They are for 1.7 wheels but easy stretchable.

They have an 81mm OD and are 37mm wide (on 32mm wheel).

Thanks for the heads up on tyres Juicy.
Dadio found Optima reres fit but they all seem rare and in short supply.
I had these mardave Apache tyres which I made fit hirobo rockn city wheels. As zerda wheels are pretty basic either option looks alright for on the shelf.
Mardave Apache really fit some wheels that look like they came off a tamiya grasshopper or similar?
One of each wheel fitted for comparison.
Two zerdas and a rockn city in disguise

I just researched mardave Apache. Another buggy so if anyone wants two wheels and maybe these 4 part worn tyres maybe there's a deal to be struck.

I was thinking Mardave Apache stuff is pretty rare to be repurposing .

I adapted the tyres without any need to cut, glue or damage them, used rubber strip to fill a void and now I know the wheels are Apache rears they are potentially on the market.
I'll post a pic of the wheels which I thought were tamiya as they fit.
I see there's some oldish posts for apache

Still juggling available wheels and tyres from the shoebox of parts. The mardave Apache tyres fit both rockn city and Zerda wheels at least well enough to look ok
Trying to summon up desire to buy kyosho 43mm tyres , too mean to spend £30 odd and not sure of "the look"
No response to my offer of mardave Apache wheels and tyres so looks like tyres 'll spend the rest of their days on the zerda.

Not TBG, but Penguin Bodyshells, if my understanding is correct...

More often right D.
Been fiddling with this restore. Side panels, two options and tried the hirobo Toyota Celica wheels on it. Pondering dadio's much earlier idea of side panels to enclose rv and battery. Not sure I like hirobos panels with Meccano like holes.
Any opinions welcome

I thought about some clear around the front as a windscreen, hmm I'll try on the rear too.
