Re: RC10 MIP 4-10 Legend Build
Really enjoyed reading through this topic. This reminds me a lot of DerbyDans Yokomo WCS find. It is great to see these factory cars survive the times and continue to tell their stories.
Some really unique parts on this car and your rebuild of this car is really doing it justice. Great job and look forward to seeing your progress.

Re: RC10 MIP 4-10 Legend Build
Thank you Vin, it is appreciated greatly. I am happy to be putting this car back together, the way it was. I am hoping to hear from the original owner so I can get some feedback on what body it had and maybe even obtain some more pictures of the car. So far, no luck.

I still can't believe you got that stuff for $50 off Craigslist... but I'm really glad it went to someone who is willing to track down all the history and do it justice. I don't think I would have the patience.

Definitely hard to believe what I got for $50. I have the patience, sort of. I do wish the original owner would contact me so I can finish this project.markbt73 wrote:I still can't believe you got that stuff for $50 off Craigslist... but I'm really glad it went to someone who is willing to track down all the history and do it justice. Re: RC10 MIP 4-10 Legend Build
Tonight's update: Thanks to GomachV, I have now got my MIP battery strap, some Losi rear wheels and some mini pin rear tires that are very similar to what was on it. Also finished the gear cover to look as close as possible to the original. On to the pictures.

Re: RC10 MIP 4-10 Legend Build
Thanks Rob. No word. I sent him a friend request on Facebook, but he has not accepted. Since his name was not in the list of entrants at the 93' Worlds, I am wondering if this was his car and someone borrowed it for the race, or if he got the car later? I am hoping that I can find out.littleVETTE wrote:sweet. looks awesome. any word from mr. hightower?

I also wanted to say thank you to Klavy69 for the use of his original MIP battery strap and his blessing to make me a copy!

The gear cover and the updates look great. Good luck on the facebook networking outreach, I hope it pans out.
