Re: Bearrickster's SRB thread
Well I havent add to thins in a little while because I painted the SS shell put a few decals on it just to see if I wanted to leave it alone or two tone it. and I went to bed to think on it. My cat jumped up on my table in the middle of the night a nocked it in the floor, scrached it up some already.
Well I still am not sure about the plain red I wanted it more orange but th store didnt have anything close to what I wanted so I settled for this Mopar Candy apple Red?? its a little mono tone I think. and here are a few pic;s of th unfinished motor and the driver plate I built the pass needs his eyes painted. its hard to tell their helmets are gold metalflake. I cant find any plastic to build a Roll cage out of? but still looking. I bent up some Brass but it was so heavy I dont want to use it. I am going to build a fuel cell to cover the switch housing.

Re: Bearrickster's SRB thread
well my exhaust came in today so I started mocking it up but my motor is missing one of the exhaust mounts I have been working with Shapways on it. they seem very eager to make it right. but not sure about this exhaust or should I use the stinger.

Re: Bearrickster's SRB thread
Well I went ahead and finished up a few little things on here. I am just waiting on Shapways to decide on what their doing about my motor. the left pipe doesnt have any were to mount. it will have spark plug wires, but I didnt do them because they may replace my motor, so I am waitting.

Great looking build, I am sure shapeways will get you your parts soon. I will also contact them to see what's going on as well. They have always been great at fixing any issue I have had so I am sure they will take care of everything. If not please let me know.
Again great build and thanks for the support.

Re: Bearrickster's SRB thread
Well I was sitting their last night and the wife was watching something boring on the tv, so I went ahead wired up my engine. Funny thing is I was waitting to see what Shapeways was going to do about the missing exhaust mount. so I glued a aluminum tube to the motor cover to temp fix it. I was looking at the stock Tamiya whip ant. it was way to tall so I cut it down made a little flag out of some black tape. and just couldnt help my self the next thing I was doing was running spark plug wires. I got up this morning and got a Email from them saying they were sending me a new motor
I will just have to redo it all when the new motor comes in.
maybe?

Re: Bearrickster's SRB thread
If you still think your red paint job is plain, you could always tape off the box art design, spray sometime rand then some white.

Re: Bearrickster's SRB thread
Well the Sand Scorcher got one more trick today. I couldnt decide on the sun roof open or closed so I hinged it. I had a few model airplane hinges from the plane I am building. so I put them on and it worked out great. just need to make a latch. and then I need to sand it down touch up a few spots and polish the whole thing and she's done.
