Re: The dog thread
Our lab mix Harlow, had her for 3 yrs now. She was an abused rescue dog from a local shelter, just days from being laid down. When we showed up the shelter worker told me to stay back and tread lightly because she was very aggressive towards men. But she showed none, instead she wanted my attention and seemed happy to see me. Kinda like she was waiting for me in a weird way. Has been the best dog I could've asked for, she loves to listen and be obedient.
This picture was shortly after we got her, was very thin from being starved. Didn't take long for her to get to a healthy weight.

I picked up a pitbull when my daughter was little and they grew up together. They are essentially sisters and dont look forward to Zoey leaving for college cuz Xena is going to go stir crazy. She sits by the window waiting for Zoey to come home...tried posting pix but cant get them to load here on the forum

I’d love to post some pics of mine but I refuse to take the time to resize them 14 times until they are small enough to upload.

Re: The dog thread
Our sweet Bell died on Friday at 5.50 pm , mother of three litters of puppies , the most devoted and doting of mothers , survivor of an emergency suzerain delivery of the last litter , battled back to health after two bouts of cancer surgery , she finally was laid low by heart disease at the age of ten , my lap feels empty in the evening now and my eyes are like raisins from the tears shed , she now chaises pheasants in the infinite woods and walks that wait for all our dog friends .

If a jobs not worth doing then its certainly not worth doing well.

Re: The dog thread
Sorry to hear that Dadio. It's been almost 14 years since I started this treat and our dog is still with us. But the older she gets, the closer it comes and the more i dread the day she won't be.
I tried to redo the photo on the first page: 13 years later and on a different continent but still our sweet Dolly

We've had 3 1/2 Cavaliers (3 pure bred and one cross Beagle), and they give 110% love their entire lives.... which is why they never last more than about 10 years, as their poor little hearts wear out from all the loving. So sorry for your loss mate, and I know exactly how you feelDadio wrote: ↑Sun May 09, 2021 11:32 am Our sweet Bell died on Friday at 5.50 pm , mother of three litters of puppies , the most devoted and doting of mothers , survivor of an emergency suzerain delivery of the last litter , battled back to health after two bouts of cancer surgery , she finally was laid low by heart disease at the age of ten , my lap feels empty in the evening now and my eyes are like raisins from the tears shed , she now chaises pheasants in the infinite woods and walks that wait for all our dog friends .
