All wires organized right. Crystal and receiver in the right spot. Falcon done.

Made some custom chassis protectors out of vinyl for my sassy chassis king cab. The letters for the apm sticker were cut on a brother scan&cut (hate that thing), the flames were hand drawn and cut with a razor blade

Thanks to Charlie for this Protoform Ripper X body. It's my favorite body for a Losi XX. This one is an OG still clear wrapped with wing.

I searched EBAY for a new restoration project most of the morning and came up empty

I've been driving a Top Cat or one of my Cougars around a makeshift track in the backyard pretty much every day this week. No jumps, dry, dusty, slick as an oily marble. Sliding everywhere... dirt flying....

It is the total opposite of what I should be doing given that I need to prepare for a vintage race on clay.

Soldered some new wires onto a Trinity Monster Tri Rotor motor. Anyone know how many turns one of these is? Gotta be pretty low turns, its absolutely savage in my king cab. Power delivery is just instant and theres torque for days. But, it also seems to make everything overheat, and I dont really know how to fix that.

Have you tried just gearing it down a couple teeth? Might need a wheelie bar at that point though.
Are pinion changes simple or do you have to change the spur/counter gear also, like some (most?) Tamiya stuff?

Cleaning up three old sets of wheels and parts for my RC10 Team car. Before and after results of the peroxide bath.

I was supposed to finish the berm, but got sidetracked by building the tabletop jump which was finished today. Kyosho Optima for size reference.

Not sure if it’s possible with a Sassy Chassis, but there is a way/conversion that allows the Stealth trans. to go in a King Cab.

That's the dream for a king cab build. For now I have an avante geared diff in it. Works awesome and retained the original transmission. The trans had a Robinson spur and 18t pinion in it. I swapped those for the stock spur and pinion, as well as added an esc fan and the problem seems to be solved. Barely gets warm anymore.

Also, the RCC adapter is long out of production I think. Granted Factory Works makes one too.

Yeah, Durb gave me the files and we changed things around a bit to make them more affordable. They wont work with the sassy tho

More track progress. The pictures were taken from the roof. The driver's stand when built will be a lot closer. The good news is when driving you face South. No sun in your face at any time. The straight and berm are 3.5 metres wide. The track narrows after the berm to 3 metres wide until the main straight. Track direction is clockwise.
This is the Eastern end of the track. The centre. This is the Western end. Still have to lay down the remaining hose to outline the straight and berm. A small jump will be added halfway down the straight and possibly another after the lefthand turn beyond the tabletop.
