Also notice the front plate. The AE logo is debossed and not outlined.

Very true that picture can't be the one for re-release. The pan has scratches on the inside, servo mounts are missing and the visible screws are just like the one on the box art from the original kit box. Also the Stormer Hobbies pic is photoshopped with their decal on it.

very true...

I just want that battery strap at a price cheaper than eBay and the $40.00 I have seen them go for ;)

The other thing is that as a practice Associated (or any manf.) would never show a car that isn't complete i.e. electronics installed.

Well, I'm probably going to order one when available. Let's see if the same people order then cancel then lament as to why they can't find one after it's been out.

I'll order one for sure... or two... build one and leave one sealed. I could have another "runner" that will collect dust in a box somewhere...

I'm definately going to pick one up as this is the car I wanted most, but the parents said no and get a job. I did but by the time I had enough saved up it was gone and the B2 was the hot car.

I hope and I think, this will be more than a "Limited" production and a good effort towards establishing a real vintage style racing class. I think the only way that happens is if it's a car that goes beyond buying it and stashing it in a closet. But rather assemble it and run it! But I think more has to be done on the marketing side of it too. Not so much the car itself, but towards racing them. :)

I like how JCONCEPTS has a vintage class in their racing series this year. I hope that helps grow a vintage class as well.

I read somewhere that there was supposed to be an exhibition race at one of the big races this year (Cactus or Reedy maybe?). That would put it front and center and might spark more interest.

At our local track, everyone thinks the old cars are cool and we get a lot of "I should get one of those" comments but nothing ever happens. In the end, it's another class for people to prepare for and most don't seem to be willing to plunk another $500 down for a kit, electronics, tires and spares.

It's funny how things go from "Dude, thats an aluminum chassis. Ha ha, get with the times"

To "Wow thats cool" or "I want one of those"
I was old school - when old school wasn't cool !

Yea they are supposed to have one at the Reedy Race. Ryan Cavalieri posted some pics on his Facebook page of his classic re-re ready to race with alot of the Jconcepts goodies on it. It looks pretty sweet.

x2

I will order at least one (maybe two),
even though our bank accounts are pretty thin right now...

I do have a NIB '93 Worlds that will likely get built as a shelfer one day,
so maybe I just need one Re-re Worlds. :?:

My two Re-re "Classics" remain sealed, with little motivation to build,
a Re-re "Worlds" however, would get opened, built, and run like it was stolen!
