Wait, you get to sit on your ass while the wife cleans? How do you get that to fly??? Or do you reap the consequences afterwards as I would

Sounds like she told him to sit on the couch and stay out of the way.

Very accurate. Cast me away to a bedroom, the couch was too close. :?

Picked up some new take-out Redcat batteries on Ebay for a good price. Had to charge all the ends to ones that I use.

Today,

I dusted off my old TA05R on a supermarket parking, same chassis normally made to never run and be a shelf queen ....

3 run after, need to take off many alloy parts to secure the chassis ;)

Found a deal on a RC150 (Thanks GoMachV and Phin for the ID!!) that I thought was so good, it was worth taking a PTO day and a 6.5 hour total road trip for! I knew the seller had many other vehicles, but I wasn't sure what else that was up my alley, but walked away with good stuff. The RC150 with crack free body, a Tamiya Wild One, a Tamiya Mud Blaster, and half of a Kyosho/Graupner 1/6 Harley. Also found a net set of old IMEX BIG BEAR tires, that look like they will bolt directly on my Big Bear. :D

Was originally going to use a Trinity Ex-Tech motor, but decided on the Speedworks 427 because I think it looks better.

Replaced the Futaba S3004 with a Reedy 2513MG servo in the SRT, aligned the front wheels and adjusted the front ride height to proper. Also smoothed out the battery hold down and painted it and the servo horn metallic blue, same color as the motor guard.

I did a short trip to Vosgienne Vintage RC event yesterday... I've put everything in place and my lipos are going to storage mode currently. As usual I'm sharing few pics of the event (there might be even some vids later on)...
There was a lot of Manx TT from Loisirs Creations RC. We raced together for half an hour, that was a lot of fun!!

I was not alone with cars heavily relying on printed parts: you can see two cars of the following pictures, but it's clearly more and more a trend within the vintage events (mine were present but I did not thought about taking a picture of my stand, as I was having only few cars this time)...

As usual in this event, the majority of the cars is GP and 1/8 or even bigger, although there is also a few of guys like me with electric 1/10 offroad cars...

The track is traced in the grass, and there is enough curves and slopes to have fun...

It was a great fun... already looking forward for next year events...

Seeing that I just pre-ordered a Hasley RC10, I thought that I should start getting the other part ready.

I had a Yokomo super stock laying around that needed some work. So I opened it up and cleaned everything, cut the comm, put a bearing on the inboard side (only had one), and replaced the endbell bushing with a P2K type.

The Novak M5 (not concerned about getting it exact) needed to be cleaned and rewired, so that (painfully) happened.
