Tech Question
How do you embed a video on your personal website and have the player show a thumbnail of it? Like YouTube vids do? When we attach the player to our site it just shows a black box.

Re: Tech Question
Without looking too much into it - it could be the time frame the thumbnail is set to display, as typically the first frame is black?

Re: Tech Question
Hmm, I wonder how one would go about changing that. My partner is pretty good about figuring this stuff out, but I figured I try to giver her a head start if I could. Currently we're linking the vid from YouTube, the problems with that are that it's got the YT watermark on it and then at the end it displays a bunch of "related" vids that are not appropriate for our purposes.

Re: Tech Question
You have to right click on the url, paste it into your sock drawer, blink your eyes 26 times (no more, no less) crack the knuckles on both thumbs and say three Hail Mary's while standing on a pogo ball (not jumping). That should do it.Halgar wrote:How do you embed a video on your personal website and have the player show a thumbnail of it? Like YouTube vids do? Re: Tech Question
There's an idea! We'll definitely want to keep it resident and not bounce out to the host, but I'm liking it!
Probably by using the html code provided with the vid would insert it into the site without bouncing out.
Thanks for the tip. I guess this means I can't pick on ya for a while ...
