Going to the Knoxville Nationals

Post by MelvinsArmy »

:D Well, I wanted to go back to Iowa this summer to visit my nephew, he's turning one next week and I wouldn't be able to see him again until Christmas. So I decided to make sure my timing was good and I'm going over the weekend of the Nationals. My sister already got me, my dad, my good buddy and brother in law all tickets. I can't wait. I haven't seen the sprints in over 10 years. I saw them at Knoxville once (not the Nationals though) and once in Farley, but that's it. Been wanting to see some real racing for a long time now. Just had to share. I'm stoked! 8)

^+1 Very cool. One big race event I haven’t made that I should, along with Pike’s Peak perhaps. Which some corners look like sprinters, with breathtaking cliffs for scenery in case the drivers get bored.

Real racing for sure, can’t think of a more intimidating race car to strap into, and I even have some related experience. They're pretty wild even before they start rubbing fen.. oh wait, those are tires they're rubbin.. yikes. :P

The first real RC I checked out at a small store was a sprint converted RC10 in ‘88. Bought my first buggy without ever actually seeing one.
