Retr0brite?

Post by g13092 »

Haven't been around in a while so I apologize if I missed this, (I did search and didn't find any evidence...) but has anyone read about or tried Retr0brite for whitening?

As soon as I saw this, I thought of everyone here

It would be interesting to try. The RC10 "plastic" is really nylon based though so I'm not sure what the results would be.

Definitely worth a try, if it works I'm going to Email them and ask them the secrets of alchemy 8)

Shoot, I completely mixed up ABS with nylon! I bet it won't work as well, as they specifically mention the fire retardant properties of ABS being responsible for the significant yellowing of those computer parts. I suppose it's still worth a shot on some junky parts.

Can't hurt. I've tried about everything else with results being only average overall.
