lazer zx5 or Traxxas slash
lazer zx5 or Traxxas slash
I already have a zx5 but no track to play on since the LHS closed last march. The area I live in is a desert no dirt so to speak all sand. My buggy works good but since its low to the ground the sand is getting into the spur all the time and making horrific noises until I clean it out only to happen again 2 mins later. Should I sell it and buy the slash? Do they make paddles for the slash?

Hey RC Chick,
Not sure if the slash has 2.2 rims (I think it does) but you can replace the rims with some standard traxxas lite rims if it doesn't to put paddles on. I've seen alot of videos of the slash and they seem to be getting kinda popular. They seem like they hold up to ALOT of abuse since usually videos they post aren't of just racing but more bashfests. I can't say to sell the lazer but I'm pretty sure you'd be happy with the slash. Sorry I wasn't too much help here but good luck with your decision.

My Slash has Jato rims on, so if you can find Jato paddles and wheels ,

and as for fun can't beat a Slash, much as I loved my ZX-5, I never race so I parted with it eventually

Washer is an Indesit, and the thing next to it is a SMEG dishwasher, don't dry clothes too well
PS the tyre warming on a gas hob was not such a hot idea either

Re: lazer zx5 or Traxxas slash
you can use nitro stampede wheels and use standard truck paddles....to be honest, you can run the kyosho wheels on the slash...same 12mm hex, but it wont look right
