Yeah, yeah....you're just jealous your 20 year old injected modeled plastic couldn't hold up to my 8 year old composite a-arm.
Nice pictures though. Team Associated wins again!!
(Oh wait, my newest is a Losi)
Not sure where to post this but here we go. Getting ready to run my JRX-T finaly after a long 22+ years of sitting. This is the first start. My Kyosho Maxxum kindly agreed to share it's heart and soul to see the Legend run after a small gear issue...

I am trying to keep the running of my JRXT in one thread with seperate Youtube videos.
Here is the first attempt on the pavement (I was being cautious of those naturals). It is not much but just trial and error footage and mere testing. The one...
Well I have been off work on medical leave and I decided to get my RC10 out and try it out. After a fresh set of batteries were installed, many good memories were brought back getting this old car going. Too bad that parts are hard to come by and...
I must be stupid. I love to run my 1993 RC10T #7001 Team Truck, why o why don't I just put it on a shelf, and start with a NEW truck. I could start post-ing to non Vintage sections of RC10talk, about my new truck? I LOVE my old bugger, I put up with...
New to the forum and last weekend I purchased a battery for my Goldpan RC10 I bought around 1987 or so. It ran like a champ till we bumped into something and broke the steering block. (Parts on order....ebay...) While not super clean it is a...

Boiling - I read somewhere around here, boiling should help put some water back into the parts so they are able to flex a little before breaking. I have seen...
I finished off my Cougar 2 rebuild at the weekend, with the geared gearbox in place (Thanks Mr. Serious )
I tested it out on carpet, stuck an old 12 double brushed motor in it !

I have a couple of these geared transmissions plus new internals. Can't say that I love them but I did find a use for it in my Storm truck out in the sand on the beach.
Hi All,
I've never run an RC car on sand before, but quite fancy taking something down to the beach with the kids during the summer. I've got the following cars (in pieces) to choose from which I'd be prepared to use for this:

Running on the beach is awesome. I have a blast when I bring my TRX4 and put it in high gear lock the rear diff. Also my Radio Shack Golden Arrow with Tamiya Sand Scorcher wheels is super fun as well.
Wondering how you like it? Nitro or Electric? Been looking at some used ones and I was toying with the idea of going nitro for the first time with this buggy.
pros, cons?
