i cant find castrol super clean in my area anymore. there is this stuff just called 'super clean' but it doesnt seem to have as much to it as the castrol stuff.

i used castrol super clean to strip a composite craft chassis'd rc10 that had been entirely spray painted black. (plastic, towers, chassis, everything...) and it worked KILLER.

I used to use that stuff to degrease my engine on my trucks and cars. I was going to buy some recently but now I may not if you guys say it doesn't work that well. I did notice the packaging was different so I didn't get it, thought they were just out of the castrol stuff.

I looked around online to see what I could find. I decided to email castrol and this is the reply:
"Thank You for Contacting Castrol North America,
As of May 2nd 2005, BP Lubricants USA, Inc. has sold the entire Super Clean product line to Super Clean Brands Inc.
Please call 1-800-394-4240 for more information or visit their website at http://www.superclean.com
Castrol Consumer Relations"

I also read somewhere that superclean contains ~5% lye(sodium hydroxide), which is why it is so good at stripping paint. Same ingredient and concentration as the yellow-can ez-off oven cleaner.

Im getting a little confused. Theres no more Castrol Super Clean? Plain Super Clean works great on Wheels, but how would it work on the CC Chassis? If its the same ingredients/concentration, could you use the Oven Cleaner on the Chassis? (skeptical)
