2.2 rims
First timer. Dose anybody know where to get some 2.2 rims that will fit my Yokomo with the square type hubs?

Re: 2.2 rims
If they are 2.2 inch not 2.0 inch and can use the new 2.2 inch tires that are being raced today, they would be great! I would like to come up with 3 sets of 2.2 rims because I'm thinking about maybe racing my Yokomo sometime next year. Thank you for the reply

Re: 2.2 rims
These rims could be 2.1inch or 2.15inch. Definately larger than the 2.0inch but just a little smaller than the 2.2inch rims of today. I have been told that Yokomo even sent these rims out with rubber bands which were glued into the rim bead before fitting 2.2inch tyres. This is how they got around the rules in the U.S. to run a bigger tyre back then. You will get 2.2inch tyres on to these kind of rims even without the bands but it will take a little extra care to get it right. I have sold the above set already so these are no longer on offer but I do have 2 pairs of white rears and some other odd bits and peices. I'll need to get some pics up. Cheers-Jason.

Re: 2.2 rims
Here's a pic of what Yokomo parts I have left.

All the rims on the left hand side of the picture are 2.0 inch and the white rims are the narrow type which accomodate the TF5 tyres. The green and pink rims there are the medium width fronts which mount the TF8's. These are the absolute last of what i have. Over on the right you'll se the 2.1 inch pink rims, there is a pair of rears and a single medium width front. These are very similar to the ones I have pictured above ( 2 hole instead of 4 hole). Below these I have 2 identical apirs of 2.2inch 'WIDE OFFSET' rims. Obviously one pair are nip while the others are used but in top condition (no cracks or chips). These particular rims suit the early 870c/YZ10 perfectly as they are 2.2 inch for modern tyres but have the wide offset like the 2.0 inch originals. Not easy to find though-Ive been looking for some time.

Re: 2.2 rims
Charlie I think the sit admins are trying to let us know that we need to arrange trades through PM (personal mail). Infact its funny because I was just trying to highlight the differences between the rims with a picture i already had on file.

at the bottom of any members posts, you see "profile", pm", etc. if you want to send bormac a pm, click on "pm" in his post. it'll take you right into your mailbox, type your message and click submit. if you want to try it, send me a pm in the same manner.racingcfc2 wrote:Ok, Ill send you a pm but I don't know were to get the reply

Re: 2.2 rims
Hi all!!
I am looking for 2.2 rims to be mounted on a 870C, with the square hub, both rear and front.
Front rims shall be thinner so to accept current front 4wd tires.
Since I have several width hubs the rims offset is not an issue, anyway I would prefer not too much offset.
If some of you have rims which are not exactly 2.2" but something smaller still acceptind 2.2" tires they would be ok.
At the end I would like to have a set of 2.0" rims and tires for display and a set of 2.2" rims and tires to run...
Thanks, best regards!!
