MY Volvo.

Post by Synergy »

In my continuos search for the cars I once owned and raced I managed to get hold of a cheap new built never ran Schumacher SST. I also stumbled across my body shell from that same (1999) car in my loft so I put them together and hey presto. I'm going to tidy up the shell and mount it correctly and off to the shelf it will go. Thought you guys might get a smile out of it. :).

Experience is that marvelous thing that enables you to recognize a mistake when you make it again.

That's a tight volvo wagon/estate. Did you know that volvos are the only indestructible vehicles in the world?

Volvo-Indestructable? I mean they are damn safe in crashes, but I wouldnt use indestructable to describe them.

BTW sweet grocery getter there! 8) That must have been cool to see it racing with the sedans.

Well now that Ford has a big say in the Volvo design,[insert lame quote] "They aint what they used to be"[/insert lame quote].

Hell my Mazda 6 is based off of a volvo chassis and although its damn safe its very easily destructable.

AWESOME!! 8)

Big Volvo fan here. I own a 94 240 station wagon with my ex-girlfriend. I hardly ever use it anymore, but I love it. My good buddy has an early 80's one in the same color. They don't just call the 240 a brick because it looks like one, it's built like one too. Definately one of my all time favorite cars. And, this is coming from a Lamborghini fanatic.

Back when I was in 4th grade, I guess about 82, my Mom got a used volvo wagon. My little brother and i had just seen Megaforce the movie. so we decided that Moms volvo was the car on the bottom right of the poster below. We spent weeks in her car pretending to blow people up, it was awesome. Okay, maybe it wasnt weeks, but at least a few afternoons, still awesome.

My sister used to have a 244 turbo similar to this one

Image

It was a great car but drove like a brick. Everything about it felt heavy.

My wife's friend has an estate wagon similar to your's Ferretti. That thing is falling apart.[/img]

Hey I have a hop-up for that car! It's called a GT body mount plate. It is attach to the front of the car and allow you to mont the body post differently I think...

It's the plate bottom left on the pict posted here

I LOVE the Factory Works body.

I too have the Volvo wagon shell. Something about my love for Wagons!
