1994 Worlds Car Steering Question
The manual shows the Worlds car being built with a black 6254 bell crank steering but I saw another one in a online French museum with white bell cranks. So is white correct, was it first supplied and then replaced with black?

Re: 1994 Worlds Car Steering Question
Yes, the very first World's car kits were sold with white parts all around (besides the a-arms and the rear hub carriers, at least on mine), the latest kits were all black as AE progressively ran out of white parts and switched to a harder plastic component!
here's a picture of "early" World's '10, everything is stock:

Re: 1994 Worlds Car Steering Question
Thanks, David. I scored a white set a while ago and just wanted to make sure it would be appropriate.

The pre-production bellcranks were shown as black in the manual. The Kinwald 93 Worlds replica Kenooze is building has Houge bellcranks.

Re: 1994 Worlds Car Steering Question
If I read the note in the picture from the manual it says that white will be supplied in the kit. So I'm still going to use the white one. Geoff you just pointed out to me that I had the answer all the time but failed to read the manual which is the gospel. One of my many shortcomings I guess, however one that my wife has not caught on to as yet. Thanks for posting the picture.

Re: 1994 Worlds Car Steering Question
I deferred to the written word in the manual and went with white. I think it looks better in white and it also justifies the $45 the white nip bell crank steering set me back.
