Well, the car hasn't arrived, yet. The owner's going to post it tomorrow, which is a bit frustrating, but at least it'll be here in a few days.
He did however, send me some more photos.
Looks like the donor car might have been a JRX Pro,by the looks of the orange steering bellcranks and the long front shocks.
The home made alloy front shock tower doesn't do much for me,but using wing mounting posts and a slice of fibreglass to hold the battery in is cool!
Can't wait to run this thing, after a few tweaks.

Wow, I’m I seeing this right? No kickup on the front end? That should have some interesting steering!
Looks to me to be based mostly on a JR-X2, not a Pro. Based on the whole rear suspension, 5 links, rear shock tower & shocks. Mildly early even, looks like thin shock clamps, non ribbed trailing link mounts. But not real early as it has the big hole rear shock tower. The steering bellcranks were a common upgrade. I agree that the front shocks appear to be Proformance kit/JRx Pro length, which granted do jump out at ya!

Yep,take a side-on view,no kick up...Might run good...In a straight line!
There's a mysterious alloy plate under the front, too.
Good thing I only bought it for parts,eh?

you should try a baja champ body on this. That'd d fit the general design well.
