I'd like to dispute that the Low Rotating Mass tranny can't handle brushless power.
I've put nine 4600mah packs through a 4700kv brushless motor in my JRX2 beater and the tranny and diff are both fine.
The timing's advanced on the motor,too.
The diff hasn't loosened up and the trans spins really smooth and free.
Maybe I'm just lucky?
I'll get around to trying out my Mamba Max 5700kv system in it,soon.
I just bought a Tamiya M-01 Mini Cooper just to watch it explode with the Mamba in it!
Bye bye little Tamiya...

I agree with you, I just havent tried It. I ran a 10.5 Brushless in my LX-T w/ Retro fit trans all summer with no problem and it was just as fast as a new T4. but I think my LX-T was a little more durable. I replaced it with a T4? I dont know why? it didnt run any better than my LX-T just easer to get parts.

The ease of parts for the T4 is certainly a big plus over the older trucks.
Even getting parts for my T2 is getting slightly tricky-but my connections always come through.
I'll keep running my T2 until I run into a new chassis,then I'll restore it...Geez,that's my only truck,what will I run,then?

Yes, the JRxt has a slightly longer wheelbase than the jrx2 chassis. In addition, the jrxt has a 30 degree kick while the jrx2 only has 20 degrees.FasterLouder wrote:

Yes, the conversion can be as easy as getting bigger wheels and tires and body mounts. However, below are the parts you would need to do the full conversion:
jrxt chassis
jrxt body (or any truck body)
jrxt wheels & tires (anything with a positive offset...like the original HPI wheels)
jrxt / jrx pro front shock towers
jrxt front shocks (same length as the jrx2 rears)
jrxt front body mount
jrxt rear body mount (note: this will only work with the standard 6 gear transmissions. the XX retrofit does not have the stock mounting points)
heavy duty bellcrank...use the red ones from the jrx pro with a servo saver. The white jrxt bell crank has a built in servo saver which will snap.
The parts list looks long, but you don't have to get everything on the list. However, losi prices are very low right now...so you probably get many (if not all) of the items for a great price.

Bought a mini with the same system you speak of....... Tires spin on asphalt for 40 feet before they hook up..... So far the fronts have lasted 2 packs worth of runtime... But boy it's fast! Regarding the diff taking a brushless motor, it's all about keeping the diff tight, and a slipper clutch helps. The XX & XX retro diff is quite similar to the newer stuff, the out drives are metal, has a slipper. Should be able to handle most anything if kept properly tight. If you hear a barking sound stop immediately, do not pass Go.
The LRM does not have a slipper and the plastic out drives make it a little trickier to keep tight. Do not follow the directions and allow it to slip like a slipper. Unless you want to do a lot of rebuilding.
Any Losi diff I’ve had needs a little tightening after the first run or two, they loosen up/bed in a little.

the Stock Jrx pro and LX-T trans has a stock slipper you can install a slipper shaft in any of the stock transmissions. A-3120 is the shaft number.

Joey-you scooped me on that tranny!
My LRM tranny is still in perfect shape,after lots of brushless beatings with no slipper...I'm so used to driving cars with slippers,driving my JRX2 sure was a timewarp.

That one is destin for my Pro SE, the current tranny guts are toasted. This one will have a double slipper put on, it will be a runner. (yes, brushless lipo)
If I could get my hands on a decent graphite chassis, I would be building a JRX2/T in a heartbeat. 5 link, not H arm.
