ya, there was some issues, for one member anyway, at the vintage nats. the outer lip of the rim was breaking apart. if you could find associated b2/b3 rims, you'd probably be better off.

after my experience i'm not impressed with the duracrax wheels... i switched to a set of b3's in last 2 races, and they held up fine.

i didnt actually notice anything in the handling, the tire was still glued to the inside bead and all that. but still, the wheel shouldnt have broken like that. especially on a wheel thats goes on a nitro buggy.

and i glued up 3 sets of those freaking duracracking wheels...

Damn, never had an AE B3 wheel lip break, they do bend in a bit though.

B2, B3 wheels are hard to find! Are they discontinued or just out of stock everywhere? Someone posted about that TT Phoenix buggy but I can't find parts for it anywhere either.

ya, the b2/b3 rims are disco'd. i have no idea where to get parts for the tt phoenix, or if the rims are the same as the b2/b3. i know the car is more or less a b3, but in some of the pics in this link, they look to be more like a b4 (similar offest).

we had similar problems with the chrome hpi 5 star buggy fronts that some of the guys were running at birdsboro.this was a few years ago before they discontinued them. on a few sets of these rims the entire outer lip or bead of the wheel came completly off the wheel while running and would shoot right pass the car just like when a hobcap would fly off a full sized car. i saw this happen a few times but never happened to me but i had a set partially seperate in a few places along the bead. the plastic was very thin on the outer/chrone side espically where the rolled edge is, but then again the walls are very unforgiving at birdsboro. these are the ones i am reffering to;

What size are the front tires on an RC10 Graphite? Are those 2.2s?

easy to get them back off...just use some acetone in the bottom of an airtight container overnight and they'll come right off so you can put them on some associated wheels.

As found on RC10.com, you can also change some parts on the buggy so you can run the current wheels and tires:

In order to use the current wheels and tires you will need the following:

#7378 3/16 axles
#9277 bearings (3/16 x 3/8 flanged bearings)
#7369 axle pins
#7368 axle shims

If you have the 2.1" wheels from the RC10 Graphite, not the original three-piece wheels, you should be able to mount the new 2.2" tires to them without a problem....that is what I've done with my buggy.
