Re: Traxxas's New Ride
I love things controlled from the handset, and it looks like a great dual purpose, quick enough for fun and a capable crawler, let's hope its not stupid money ![Very Happy :D](./images/smilies/icon_biggrin.gif)

Re: Traxxas's New Ride
this was a HUGE step for Traxxas to catch up to the comp and try to sort of leave the "basher" style...know what I mean...
Re: Traxxas's New Ride
I personally was dissappointed in this model it was supposed to be a crawler. How ever IMO it isnt anything more than a overpriced MT or stadium type truck. just my 2cents worth.
You run me in the grass imma run you in the wall, drive like a racer not a flippin idiot

Re: Traxxas's New Ride
Saw one at the LHS a few days ago. They are bigger than I would have expected. It seems like more of a coverall basher vehicle than anything else. Not really a recer, not really a crawler.. But I'm sure it will fit somebody's niche. Lots of engineering packed in there, one thing I like about it.

Re: Traxxas's New Ride
im glad they make something like this, but just think if this came as a kit
..id like to see this truck without 2 speed and diff lock. like a monster truck racer,or maybe manual 2 speed and diff lock ...i like it when they keep rcs simple.. im still waiting for someone like traxxas to make a monster truck like the mrc world scale truck..

Re: Traxxas's New Ride
I kind of like technology, not having to strip the truck to alter the use suits me, but I second you on the World's truck,

even their 1/10 looked awesome

Re: Traxxas's New Ride
i was not talking about striping down the truck to make it switch speeds or lock gears..i just thought if they want these options to make them manual like the old toy rcs with the high/low switch.. dont get me wrong i like the truck and think its real cool. i like technology and high tech stuff but high tech simplicity like b4/t4 suits me best..how cool would it be to have a worlds scale t4 that ran a 775 motor and 2 batterys....oh thanks for the pics are they your trucks?I kind of like technology, not having to strip the truck to alter the use suits me, but I second you on the World's truck,

Re: Traxxas's New Ride
They run fine, obviously not as quick, but still on original MSC etc, for an alloy heavy Chassis the Thunder is fairly rapid, apparently the diff can be made metal inside with Madfroce Kyosho parts, never needed spares yet, the MT-10 have a fairly stock white diff and slipper arrangement.
Some ebay spares still around for thunder, and an odd buggy comes up, a US guy has a new built MT-10 but wants $$$
Mostly I bought a aspares truck, as it had a good shell but blown diff, and casings weren't to be had.

Re: Traxxas's New Ride
I run these gears in my Baja King:
http://www.rc4wdstore.com/2/product_info.php?cPath=29&products_id=398
Expensive, I know, but it holds up to the brushless setup. My son's Thunder King has the stock gears with dual Trinity Midnight motors and has never had a problem with the gears/diff. Like purpletimbo, I also picked up a couple of parts trucks for spares.![Cool 8)](./images/smilies/icon_cool.gif)
