Teking Speed Star ESC, Racing ESC or Just Entry Level??

Post by tecnica2001 »

I got a Tekin Speed Star in a R/C lot, in good working condition, I tested it, and the adjustment dials work, now my question is, Is this just an entry level ESC like the Futaba Mc210CB or was it a good Racing ESC like the Racing Novaks of the day??

I'm asking because I'm about to build a Losi LXT, and I would like to use this ESC on it, keep it vintage :D

i liked the one i had. i used it when i was racing the trinity street spec series in the mid 90's. you had to use a buget/entry level esc under $120 or $125 list price. it can also handle down to a 10t mod. i used it in my tc3 with an 11 triple, and it never gave me a problem.

Cool,

WHat about the turn dials on the ESC?? is that a current limiter??

I noticed that when i was testing it with the motor, It would rev the motor up or down when I turned it either way.
