Unknown buggy
I just trawled this up on evilbay
White arms and bumper, purple chassis, could it be early Traxxas maybe?
Cheers for any clues

Re: Unknown buggy
I'm pretty sure we had another 'what's this' on the same car a couple months ago. Only difference from memory was the chassis color: a nice grasshopper green.
If on't find the thread now, but I think it was flying point or something

Re: Unknown buggy
That's a Flying Point Enterprise PIZAZZ - TK1. There's also a BG1 buggy. The truck looks like it shares parts with the older Nitro Hawk series right down to the tires. The chassis is a bit different in shape, but everything else looks to be identical.

Re: Unknown buggy
I would'nt mind one of those buggies to try a brushless conversion with mid moter. But don't need the bite in the wallet.

Re: Unknown buggy
I just read the catalog about these cars and it comes with optional dyes. It also states that all of the parts are molded in white allowing you to dye it any color you want.

Re: Unknown buggy
Flying point would suit me, their UK ditributor is MTRONIKS the ESC people about 40 miles from me, I have a Flying Point truck, biggest nitro gun in my arsenal, also sold by Tower under Trinity Spyder, 1/7 scale 2 speed with reverse TPC design.
Awesome looker, thats a TT-01 for scale.
and the radio is an old school acoms techniplus 27 Mhz

Re: Unknown buggy
Hey purpletimbo, that's a pretty wild looking truck. But I'm confused, didn't expect a pickup truck from the UK! Are they very popular, is it a RC only thing?

Re: Unknown buggy
Plenty of RC ones, real ones are mostly limited to car derived like the Caddy, based on a Volkswagen Golf, or there was a Ford Escort one I beleive.
Other than that there are the usual Japanese suspects, Mitsubishi warriors etc, Toyota Hi-lux, Bedford is the commercial arm of vauxhall or GM over here, they did a 2 door and 4 door crewcab based on Isuzu ones.
Quite a few now I think on, mostly builders or farmers though, not much custom or lowrider wise.
That is actually a LOSI LST shell, it's much bigger than the original which sits on top like a pea on a wall.

Re: Unknown buggy
I personally don't race, but they race on and off road over here, large 2WD and 4WD buggy scene, plus 1/8 outdoor Nitro buggy racing, they also race Truggies like the nitro revo, and some do race Tmaxx etc.
And a fair 1/5 on and off road scene.

I have this FP Nova Puma 1987, I think that 1985 was its first year but I don´t know for sure.
A question do you guys know when the first FP came out.
