Removing anodizing - another noob question

did a search but couldn't find any posts on this- what's a good method to get a nice clean and complete removal of the original rc10 chassis anodizing?

I've always used Easy-Off oven cleaner for anno removal, although I've never done a chassis. When you remove the coating though it still requires a little cleanup to make it nice and shiny, you can either polish it, or use some scotch brite for a brushed aluminum look.

i know that searching this board is sometimes a huge pita when you are trying to dig up a specific post from a couple years ago, but this issue gets hashed out at least every other month. i dont ever want to be a search nazi, but i can see now how it drives some people crazy...

anyway, easy off in the yellow lid can. i've tried the blue lid stuff and it doesnt work nearly as well and fast.

do NOT let it dry on the surface, i keep everything wet by stripping parts inside a freezer bag so the easy off doesnt dry up. it helps with fumes as well.

it also is nice for inspecting parts and giving them a little shake once in awhile to move the easy off around. it doesnt take long at all, i recently stripped a set of shock bodies with the hard anodizing and it took around 10-15 minutes.
