Thank you RogueIV, I am now interested in what ezekiel is all about. I only found out that it means "God strengthens" in hebrew. What catches my eye is that the wing is positioned too high. In combination with the too small tires, the rear end doesn't look consistent. And why does the contour of the blue paint deviate so much? I think that's intentional. Nevertheless a tasty kit!

Yeah really wasn't sure if the Ezekiel sticker was some sort of religious thing, someone's name, or a company.
the rear wing thing should be an easy fix. Just need to cut the tubes down a little bit.
It is a shame they didn't make the tires more like the OG Prolines. Anyone have details on how Brian had the original tires mounted? looks almost like the bead is mounted to the top of the wheel lips unless that's just how the tires were shaped.
Consistency is the key I keep misplacing.

If I had to guess, they didn't have the rights to it. On the real car, it was "Ezekiel". Not 100%, but I think it's an eyewear company.

He cut the outer lips of the rims completely off so only the bottom of the tire bead is glued to the wheels giving more side wall flex and side bite traction.
Old school racing all the way!

Did a little digging and it's a surf/skate apparel company it seems.
Ezekiel Clothing: A Legacy of Skateboarding and Lifestyle

Founded in the sun-soaked streets of Southern California in 1992, Ezekiel Clothing emerged as a brand deeply rooted in the skateboarding and surfing cultures. Its inception was driven by a desire to create a lifestyle brand that resonated with the free-spirited ethos of these communities. Over the years, Ezekiel has grown organically, becoming a staple in the wardrobes of skaters, surfers, and creatives alike.

Manual is up, time will tell if it's accurate (I'm placing my bet that it isn't)

worst part about the instructions is no paint guide or decal placement guide. Something that should be a given when you make a Replica car.

Paint masks would be nice too but I don't think it has them. Someone with a Cricut could probably could make some dough cutting some of those.
Consistency is the key I keep misplacing.

I got that decal set (2 sets, actually) after the 2014 re-re. Quality was typical MCI (good, not great) so I used the paint drops decals to create masks and painted them instead.
If AE includes these with their sticker set and quality is great, it will save a lot of work.
I know we hate box art but I think this one is necessary to tell the story. Plus, I think it's one of the best looking vintage RC race buggies of all time.
Looking forward to creating a BK tribute section on the shelf and the opportunity to share his story with others outside the hobby.

It's a different body though, so the MCI stickers may not lay out correctly.
