At least you missed the bumper
I love it! 3+ years ago a new built vintage 10t is a shelf queen. Today, a rere 10t with parts support is being enjoyed and bashed like it's christmas of '91 all over again!!! :D
Old school racing all the way!

At least it's getting used out there and not shelfbound for eternity
Yeah, built this intending to bash it around a bit. It drives and jumps awesome, but the front arms are pretty frail if you hit anything with them. I guess that's to be expected with such an old design. The stock slipper is barking like crazy (which I also kind of expected), so I ordered a V2 for it. These were never intended for brushless, lol.
If it's making a barking sound that's probably the diff not the slipper. I'd tighten the diff a little bit and loosen the slipper.
Hmm, yeah you might be right. The slipper on these has that thin, weird, rubbery pad and so I thought it might be the source. I'll do the spin test on the diff next time it's on the stand and try to crank it down a bit. I seem to recall there wasn't much left in it, but I'll check. It kind of makes sense, as it didn't do it the first time I drove it and I forgot I"m supposed to recheck the ball diff after break-in (I'm used to gear diffs). I did tighten the slipper (there was only a little bit more I could tighten it) and it didn't really help. I didn't think to loosen it.

Heh, yeah. To be fair, that bumper did save it a few times. Just not that last time. ;)
