Re: ** Build of the Month Contest - April 2025 **
Black rims. Black cells. Black soul? Sure.
Since The Fall Of Old Tekin / Kevin Orton Story is my favorite thread, I wanted to build a RC that pays homage to K.O. I wish he would see my build and enjoy it.
For those wo don't know it: https://www.rc10talk.com/viewtopic.php?t=22700
I find myself in some descriptions (except for the thrash bags full of cash - I mean, I had those too, but they have gone for old Yokes)
The second name I quoted on the car is Noel Lovisa. As I have read, Noel was the responsible man behind the Purge Force mach 7 keypad speed controller. Later, payed by Tekin (or maybe not after all?) he industrialized his design concept as the TEKIN 410K. Although the production version seems to have been revised by Kevin Orton, but I wasn't there to be sure…

Re: ** Build of the Month Contest - April 2025 **
My first Tamiya ORV (I now have six), an original Blackfoot. Due to the fagility of ORV's, it clearly needed a lot of re-re parts to get it fixed.
Mods: Frog skid plate and arm mounts (polished), Frogshot modded diff, re-re CVD's, 3D printed rear skid and shock mount braces, center mounted servo, and bump-steer spacers. Re-re Frog rear shocks with Associated springs and CVA fronts with Traxxas springs.
The front cover is also attached to the original MSC mount, serving as a shock tower brace (button head screws near the chassis).
Electronics: Futaba servo and receiver (mounted inside the chassis), Novak Rooster esc, and Trinity Monster Mash motor.
Body is a RJ Speed crawler model, with Tamiya and G Made decals.
Some new Blackfoot wheels and Hobbypark crawler tires round it out.

Always looking for new and interesting ways to waste money.

I don't recognize the cat, but I like that it knows how to handle a screwdriver.
