The wheels and tires look adorable on it
The car looks like it’s in great condition, body looks to be pro executed…. Any signature on it ??
Who do you race for ?
Me……. I race for me.
That’s impossible, I was told you need a sponsor to race.

Yes, they are cute little foam tires. They're even on rims intended for foam tires, not off-road rims.

The body is very well done but is not signed.

Built the transmission for an upcoming Traxxas based project.

Hot Racing case with a rebuilt diff, Drag Race Concepts aluminum drive gear, and Hot Racing aluminum idle gear. All shimmed to reduce endplay.

I used an old style hex input shaft so that the old style slipper could be used. It just looks cooler than the Revo style.
20250407_191102.jpg
RPM gear cover and Tamiya TZ motor finish it up.

Yes.

That hex input shaft is the only thing that isn't.

Over the last few days I've been resurrecting a few old and worn parts.
Filing, sanding and polishing, polishing, polishing...
More hours than I care to admit.
My Litesink is the same one I used when I raced my Houge RC10 in the 80's-90's.
Never really been happy with the way the Litesink turned out after the last couple anodizing attempts. 3 or more since new.
My guess is that the aluminum was not the best quality.
Last time I dyed the Litesink I used Rit dye. This try will be with Caswell dye and nickel acetate sealant.

I started a remodel on my Granddaughter's RC track. I picked up some scrap plastic gasline to replace the steel posts. They will be over soon to grab shovel's and start building jumps. I'm doing my part to inspire the next generation of RC enthusiasts 👍

Did some anodizing...
Turned out pretty nice.
The rounded part on the top of the "radiator" of the Litesink was to clear a body I once had on the car.

The combo will be going back on my Houge before long.

I had bought what I thought was a partial JG SRT, which turned out to be a conglomaration of factory and aftermarket parts.

Oh well. I had my mind set on a truck, so a truck it'll be. Just a conversion.

Aftermarket Duratrax, Composite Craft, whoever graphite chassis, JG towers (repo rear) and front bumper/mount, RPM buggy arms (3D rear), Worlds bellcranks, and a six gear with a Litesink.

I've got a set of white CRP Blackfoot wheels and adapters, and a couple sets of shocks to choose from. I test fitted a Stadium Blitzer body and it's pretty good.

Did an RC thing for the first time in a while. Cut a new TBG body and undertray for my Astute. Forgot to get paint at the hobby store.

Found some new steering blocks that I forgot about (and white shock plastics) and fitted the CRP axles. New rear axles and Andy's wheel adapters. Pure-Tech battery strap and fitted up the shock bushings. I don't have the JG rear body mount but I found that 10T rear mounts line up with the JG tower.

Now I need to order some more parts, and make decisions on the body and electronics.

I'm on a bit of an r/c break. I came home Sunday from Roostpalooza, got all my stuff downstairs and haven't been back down since. Just burned out over the prep, travel, and the Hoosier event itself. Then the prep and everything for our race 2 weekends later.
