Considering they have the same sources as Fan has, and he has no problem getting them, it doesn't make a lot of sense but maybe they are looking for a better price or can't get the quantities.
I can see that happening. There is a difference in finding someone who can make 50 or 100 pieces and finding someone who can make 3,000 of them in a short timeframe at a price that is acceptable.
Also FanRC is selling retail or direct to the shops, so if a part costs FanRC $30 to buy in he can make a good profit selling it at $60. Due to the much longer supply chain involved, and that profit margins are usually based on percentages rather an actual amounts, for Associated to retail the same part at $60 their initial production costs could have to be down to $10-15 at most. If Thunder Tiger can't get them cheap enough you could end up with a $150-250 premium for the graphite version.

Xtra Speed has three different graphite chassis for the RC10, including a TQ copy.
Just saying.
Speaking of Xtra Speed, does anyone have the skinny on their stealth transmission, and also the plastic parts they're selling? I know Fan RC was available for a short time on RCMart, but seem to have been pulled around the time AE made a stink about IP or whatever. I wondered if they are a rebrand, since it seems odd that someone else would dive into injection moulding vintage RC10 parts.
