Had one, didn't really find a benefit to it.

Small all RC vehicle shop, with not much web presence. All modern stuff of course.
I build RCs like people would have done back in the '90s ..................................... if they had 3D printers.

That's a metaphor for life right there... or at the very least a really good bumper sticker.

Yeah, facebook pages just didn't make the cut. But Ace is there. From the google pictures it looks like a well-stocked store too!

Happy 2024!

Went through and updated the directory. Changed addresses for shops that moved. Removed listings for shops that closed. Deleted a few duplicate listings. Even added some new shops to the list!

The number of new shops offset the number of shops closed so the list is actually longer than it was last year!

Also, I did some rearranging, stores are now listed by phone number in descending order, which should make it easier to find a places by scanning for area codes and prefixes.

And that about covers it... if you know of a shop you want added to the list, post it up. If you see an error, let me know. Have something good to say about a hobby shop? Feel free to share!

Happy Shopping!

Excellent work!

I was looking at something I needed from a site called:
https://muddslidemotorsports.com/

I did all the normal checks, whois says the domain has been up since 2007, and their physical address shows a place called RC Hobbies. It passes all the checks that I can think of, phone number was listed and matched also.

I used Paypal just in case, but they had (2) vintage Bolink 63 Corvette bodies, like the one from The Dead Pool movie. It's hard to believe they were just sitting around there, but so far it seems completely legit, received a receipt immediately following. I really want this to be legit.

Thanks!

Mudslide Motorsports is legit. They're the current owners of RJ Speed, the successor to BoLINK... wait... did I not put them on the list???

Well that egregious oversite has been rectified... ...I don't think they have a retail showroom so I'll put them in online only. Thank you for that.

I wouldn't doubt they have the bodies... interesting will be if they show up in BoLINK packaging, RJ Speed, or someone else... BoLINK had a lot of molds that got bought by some very cool folks.

So glad to hear I didn't discover another bogus site, and that https://muddslidemotorsports.com/ is legit!

I also didn't get an Out of Stock email regarding the bodies today, so I'll assume it's a go.

Thanks as always @Dangeruss!

Ok, same as in 2024 I just spent the last couple weeks combing through the directory removing closed locations and adding new ones. 20 brick and mortar and 1 online store closed last year but I was able to add well over 200 new shops to the list. Mostly all preexisting stores but some were newly opened in '24 and a couple are so new they haven't even had their grand openings yet, which is pretty cool. A few are listed online as temporarily closed due to hurricane damage but their websites/facebook pages say they'll reopen so, they stayed on the list. And one shop is relocating to Florida, as soon their new contact info is available, I'll add it. Also, feel free to post up any shops I missed, mistakes I made, etc...

There are some truly impressive independently operated RC shops out there. Florida seems to really be into Mini-Z racing. I was surprised to see Pennsylvania of all states had the second largest number of shops carrying RC cars. If you think there's not enough shops in your area, trying moving to Mississippi or Wyoming... one per state, unless you know of any others. Oh, and speaking of states, Montana has an actual, honest to goodness, open for business Radio Shack... and they carry RC cars! How awesome is that. Obviously, I couldn't resist....

Thank you. I removed their location from the directory. Appreciate you mentioning it.
