Kyosho Novak Trinity Combos 1996

As part of their marketing campaign in 1996/1997 Kyosho offered Novak Explorer Sport electronic speed controllers and Trinity Midnight modified motors in place of their own house brand motor and controller combinations:

Pro-X: 1/10 2wd electric racing buggy Introduced in 1994. Kelron II chassis with bolt on 30 degree kickup plate. Long white composite plastic lower a-arms, titanium turnbuckles, composite inline hubs and knuckles with inclined kingpins and larger 6mm axles. Built in spring loaded servo saver twin bellcrank steering system, ball bearing mounts and titanium turnbuckles under a Kelron II top plate. Hard anodized and teflon coated oil-filled aluminum Ultimate shocks with clip in spring adjusters in medium length were placed up front and long in the rear. Black fiberglass shock towers at both ends. Kyosho's new slipper clutch equipped three gear SST with center mounted ball differential. Kelron II floating ball suspension mounting blocks, long white rear arms, titanium turnbuckles, white composite hubs and steel universal axles. Shallow offset single piece 2.2 buggy wheels, clear lexan dirt shields, W-5641 Pin Spike rear tires and W-5621 Ribbed front tires. A new clear lexan body, front mini bumper and full bearings included with the unassembled Team kit, sold less radio. Also offered in a Sport version with plastic shocks, steel camber/tie rods, and bushings, less radio.

SR-5 Sports Racer 1/10 2wd electric parking lot racer introduced in 1994. Molded double deck plastic chassis. fixed a-arm coilover kingpin front suspension. Direct mounted servo saver steering system. Transverse mounted battery. T-plate style rear suspension with coil spring friction damping. plastic motor pod with bevel gear diff and steel axle. Bushings, black plastic wheels and pre-trued foam tires all around. Sold less radio as a Stock Car or Race Truck. Indy and F1 versions also available.
