The wife and I just had Popeyes chicken for the first time for dinner while we were out grocery shopping. Absolutely nothing special and overpriced for sure.

As someone who eats a lot of Popeye's chicken, I can tell you that it varies greatly from place to place. Even people at work say that the one closest to work is on a different level.
Love me some blackened tenders, mashed potatoes, and coleslaw.

Oh I'm sure. This specific Popeyes recently opened up near us and is the only one around for a long ways. Everyone and their brother's mother-in-law's sister's uncle raved how it was the cat's meow and a cow's wet tit. Don't get me wrong, it was good, just nothing more than good.juicedcoupe wrote: ↑Fri Mar 14, 2025 10:19 pmAs someone who eats a lot of Popeye's chicken, I can tell you that it varies greatly from place to place. Re: What's for dinner?
It's probably my favorite place for lunch. Yeah, it costs more than you typical burger or sandwich lunch but is comparable to better lunch choices. I mean, five chicken tenders, two sides, biscuit, and large drink for $16 ain't too bad. Unless you are eating off the value menu, you're gonna spend at least $12-15 on lunch at most places.R6cowboy wrote: ↑Fri Mar 14, 2025 10:38 pm Oh I'm sure. A couple sides that aren't listed on the menu but they will make (with upcharge). Red beans with cajun rice instead of white rice and cajun rice with gravy. Both are very popular at work.
