Pan fried pork loin "chops". Whole house smells like hot oil *ss now though. Oh well, no worse than "bacon Sundays" I guess.

Did some burgers and weenies on my Dad's Traeger. I'm a Weber charcoal guy that's been tolerating a gas grill for a few years now. So the Traeger was a nice departure, even if (IMO) they are a bit overrated. Anyway, with your Bret Michaels meme in mind, I had to tell everybody the truth...I was coordinating with Nana on meats and I said, "look, everybody is getting the same burger, and they're all gonna be just "done", no more, no less."
Hope you're doin' something fun.

Perfect for this colder-than-usual Winter, my better half did some of her Sausage and Baked Bean Curry.... perfectly spicy, and a great way to end the week!

I wanted to bring this to anyone's attention that might be interested. They seem to be liquidating the Traeger Pro 34s on Amazon and other sites. Link won't take for some reason. I got one for $499 when I noticed them Memorial Day. Since then, they go in and out of stock. I really like it so far. It's huge too. Will hold plenty. Did steaks with roasted Artichoke Hearts last night. They cook much different than anything I've used but work great once you get use to it.

Not exactly "what's for dinner" but a Mod I use with my Weber gas grill that I've had for 15 years or so.
I was tolerating my gas grill for awhile, it was OK but not anything like charcoal.
I added lava rocks between the "flavorizer bars" and it made a big difference.
More even heat, better smoke from drippings and way way less grease in the catch pan.
