I'm not going to lie, I would rather put my money where my mouth is and buy the conversion from you.
At best, I'll send you an order for some parts instead of buying this release.

Same here, I maybe late to the party, but I'd buy a conversion as well. I have already supported AE with the CC and 40th. For this one though, I'd rather support a fellow hobbyist who is passionate and worked to create a beautiful product, versus a distasteful knock off by TT.

Quoting myself from Facebook.

I build RCs like people would have done back in the '90s ..................................... if they had 3D printers.

Re: The RC10 4wd (or how AE stole the Ten4 project)
I bought more Ten 4.1 kits (... which I still need to build) than I will buy of the Thunder Cats Ten 4 clones, but I still feel I need a clone. It's a weakness. It also changes my plans to turn my gold pan Team Car re-re into a Ten 4.1, I think? Oh things are just so confusing now.

Re: The RC10 4wd (or how AE stole the Ten4 project)
I most certainly can always make another run, but you cant beat the price of the new kit. The thing I had been considering is running more of the aluminum pulleys and maybe the front end parts, tensioner etc. Whatever it is, I need it to be something that will sell or else I have just sunk more money into this for no reason, which is why im really struggling to press on. I have a couple other really killer projects coming up, and this would take money away from them, all to support AE selling kits. I kinda dont want to do that anymore, they dont need me and I dont gain from helping them sell kits.

Re: The RC10 4wd (or how AE stole the Ten4 project)
So in the early part of my career, I was an automation designer and then factory designer. During this time I was granted 8 US patents for my work. I can tell you, co-workers, bosses, suppliers, and competitors will copy and take credit for good ideas. You see it in the movie Silicon Pirates (Apple, Microsoft, Xerox, etc….). it’s frustrating, but also a compliment. Ten 4 inspired one of the greatest RC companies - That says something and no one can take it away.

You should. Jeff's parts second to none. I grabbed enough of his parts to make a runner and a shelfer Ten4.1. So excited to start on it.
Thanks Jeff-

I have an Ultima II project in the works that needs pieces. I also recently bought an SRT conversion from Jeff that is top shelf!

The more I think about this, the more angry I get.
Why didn't they reproduce the 4wd RC10 prototype that Jay raced at the World's?
At least that car has some connection with AE.

Well, they can keep it! No pre-order from me.

That would have been killer, but apart from being a manufacturing nightmare, can you imagine the chain speed velocity with a 3.5 turn motor

Well, the new video from AE does shed some light but I think they should have given you some credit.

Ironically, the only AE items I own are a set of B6 wing mounts I bought to go with Jeff's rear shock tower on my Cougar.
