I love having the Factory Works hop-up parts for the upcoming AE 4wd car.

Re: The RC10 4wd (or how AE stole the Ten4 project)
This is the best time, outside of the 84-95 timeframe, for vintage RC cars. Back then, we got the original parts and lived the life. Now, we have resources to copy our favorite builds, just harder to find (and perhaps cost) to build those replicas. I messaged Tacoma RC that I wanted a kit. He said "of course" .
I hope AE has 10K kits ready Monday, as the website going to crash.....

id argue and say the early 2000s was the best time for vintage rc cars. maybe not nib kits but for sure pickup up cool stuff before it got out of hand.Ronbo wrote: ↑Sat Feb 22, 2025 4:41 pm This is the best time, outside of the 84-95 timeframe, for vintage RC cars. To me the car is a total rip-off of Jeff's kit...looks nothing like the prototype car that ran in the IFMAR 's that they are promoting in they're ads online...and it's not an opinion..it's a fact.

They really blew the engineering budget on the front wheel design!
I build RCs like people would have done back in the '90s ..................................... if they had 3D printers.

We did that in 2013 too.
I didn't like the modern offset wheels.

Love the belt click noises from the drive train in the video!

I believe they are the HD metric, their 3mm lock nuts are black and I see them all over that buggy.RCveteran wrote: ↑Sat Feb 22, 2025 2:55 pm So here's the big question, are those ball studs metric? Or did they make standard modern ball studs and cup? If not a mix of both metric and standard on the car? We should now have an easy factory 12mm hex conversion option with the hubs and such as well for a 2wd car.

Re: The RC10 4wd (or how AE stole the Ten4 project)
Saw a thread over on TC this morning about a guy getting banned from DICKliks FB page simply for making a slightly negative comment about a sponsor of his. That guy is a piece of work, and not helping the RC world.

I just happened to remove the post this morning. It was up long enough. I like how he wouldn't respond to my comment either.
He's a grifter, especially in the RC10 space.

Anything past 4 hours you are supposed to consult someone from what I hear.
