Definitely interested to see what this 4x thing is all about. I'm honestly surprised to see it being a strictly a.e. thing. I would also have assumed it would be an a.e./mip combo, especially after hearing mip was in the works on a rere kit.

I agree. Most of us are not that young, buying a kit today for $400 in hopes 20 years now you can sell it for what $600? Collect them NIB at this point because you like that, as an investment not worth the time. 20 years from now that extra $200 you made might buy an egg. Easier and better ways to make a couple hundred over a lot of years before that nursing home takes it all.

With the proper vices you might avoid those, or get there early, it's a crap shoot..going with the vice theory.
From my sources, MIP was not involved and was planning on having theirs ready for the race in Indiana. This is just a copy of our Ten4, I expect the MIP will be more... original.
So here's the big question, are those ball studs metric? Or did they make standard modern ball studs and cup? If not a mix of both metric and standard on the car? We should now have an easy factory 12mm hex conversion option with the hubs and such as well for a 2wd car.
@GOMACHV, maybe you would like to show them up and create a JC410 conversion! They've done some of the heavy lifting in regards to the injection molding, and those parts hopefully will be available separately. I have really enjoyed the gear diff trans from JC in my RC10 using your design, and an RPM style front end with a gear diff and a one-way would be a sight to behold. I'll second the idea of a flatter front kick-up as mentioned earlier in this thread, perhaps utilizing a hinged bulkhead like the earlier Losi for adjustment and/or belt tension. It would represent the evolution of aftermarket products, which has always aimed to improve on the original designs of the manufacturers.
Regardless, it's a pretty interesting time to live through in the vintage world right now, and the upcoming Associated vintage race in Vegas will doubtless give an interesting benchmark for the performance of the various vintage offerings.

Looking at the salary they are willing to pay in their job postings for an experienced engineer expected to live in the Los Angeles area, you're better off.
