In 1993 Kyosho released the Tracker as their newest 1/10 2wd electric Monster Truck. Rather than create another derivative of the Big Brute as they had done before, Kyosho took a page from their USA-1/Thrasher Nitro playbook for use on the electric side of the fence and adapted the Ultima II for Monster Truck duty. Riding on a beefier Kelron chassis that would go on to underpin the Outrage buggy and stadium truck, Sandmaster MKII/ST-2 and others it pulled heavily from the Utima II parts bin, including the four-wheel independent lower a-arm and fixed camber link suspension system. Tall molded plastic shock towers supported equally long plastic bodied oil-filled coilover shocks front and rear. A forward support plate sandwiched the twin bellcrank steering system with built-in servo saver and adjustable tie rods that lead to inline steering blocks and carriers featuring height and Akerman adjustability. Moving rearward in the chassis was the upper radio tray to which the transverse stick style battery and the trucks electronics were mounted. Out back a 48-pitch transmission with a bevel gear differential, aluminum motor plate and rear guard were fit. Steel dogbones lead to white, high offset, 2.2 inch Monster Truck wheels sporting Kyosho 120/58/56 V-Tread tires. A clear lexan Chevrolet 1500 body with chrome grille, bumpers, roll bar and offroad lights, tall body mounts, rotary speed controller, Mabuchi RS550H motor and bushings were included with the unassembled kit sold less radio:
