Yep, JConcepts Smoothie 2, silver, SXT dope
I really want to go to the event, but my desire to race is all but extinguished. Modern tracks just aren't for me. The track is huge. The current layout has 20 or 21 jumps That is 21 good chances per lap to bend the chassis on my Cougar. The backstretch is raised. All I can see is the wing and a little smattering of green above the pipe. So I literally crash just trying to go straight.
I am not criticizing the track. It has to be among the best dirt tracks in the country. But I can't in good conscious put my car on the track when anyone else is running. I'm that bad. I go on practice days and only run by myself.
They are building an all new fresh track just for this event. They will also be making much smaller and tamer jumps because they "don't want any of the expensive vintage cars getting broken".
Are you in the area of Hoosier? If so I have a vintage style track in the area if you want to get some real dirt/dust on your cars.

Just 2 hours from me so I hope to get by there.
You better find a way to make it happen, 2 hours away is nothing! I'm 25 hours away and if it wasn't in March I'd be driving the Mini out that way! I just don't trust the weather in March driving cross country

anyone going to be there tomorrow? I didn't sign up so I won't be racing, but wouldn't mind meeting some of y'all. I gotta run out there to buy a diff if they have what I need in stock. I doubt I will stay out there very long since I'm not racing.
Pic isn't sideways, that was my 4th one. I was the one sideways

Me and the ol' lady were planning on stopping in Saturday, but about 20 minutes ago I found out I may have to be in town. I may not know for sure until Saturday morning but I'm definitely trying to make it by.

Got all checked into my room last night but haven't met anyone yet. I did throw out the line though!
