But it’s not on AE’s website so prices, availability, preorder, anything is a moot point.

Way too level headed, you need to be on FB whining about how AE has wronged you personally, then make a few YouTube videos telling them how you would run their business, otherwise your opinion does not matter
Well somebeez, I'd have to learn how to make a youtube video first

So I did some digging on AE website and it seems like they are possibly on the same page as me...

https://www.associatedelectrics.com/teamassociated/parts/details/6560-ASC6560-stealth_transmission_kit/

It's still marked as discontinued but the write up seems to be hinting at a new release. Anyone agree? Or am I just looking too much into old news and hoping for my own benefit?

They teased the graphite a couple months ago. I have been holding off on buying any of the ReRe’s since the RC10T and I’m almost giving up hope that it will be released anytime soon.

I know 2 weeks right? But seriously they teased it before the Green Chassis the team car and the gt. What’s the delay?

Maybe they're saving their best for last? RC10 graphite would be a huge item checked off my list.
Bought a aluminum tub Team Car new in 1991, still have it. I remember thinking if the extra few $ was really worth it to spring for the graphite.

Considering the specs section only lists the CC and Classic and not any of the more recent releases I'd say yeah, you're looking for hope that isn't there.

Well don't all the other re-releases that are currently available already have the Stealth? Wouldn't make sense to reference a car that's not for sale yet.

That's exactly my point. The 10T and Green Pan aren't listed, which suggests the page was made during the release of the Classic and CC but before the 10T and Green Pan.

We're actually just seeing the stealth come in the re-release RC10 buggies shipping in late November 2024. Its still pretty "new".

With all the fun stuff I read here, I am excited to see the graphite become available, but I'm sidetracked with dreams of FR-01 ten four good buddy!!

And that makes me excited to see the stealth kit possibly coming available. :D

RC10T - already has Stealth, upgrade not needed so it wouldn't be listed.

Green RC10 - full name as listed on website is "RC10 Classic 40th Anniversary Green Edition", so it's likely already lumped in with all the classic cars.

Really looking forward to this re-release. AE has made good on all their teaser "leaks" so far, and a vendor site with pictures and a kit # can hopefully only be good news!

So the rere 10T has a stealth. The new rere team car has a stealth. The earlier classic style rc10 re releases do not. So they are making stealth trannies just not putting them in all of the re releases. Logically because the earlier cars are true to their roots and have the 6 gear. But you read what it says in the description and it says... "and is perfect for adding performance to your RC10 Classic or to freshen up your vintage buggy.
This new edition of the Stealth transmission kit offers higher performance and more durability than ever before with the addition of the Factory Team V2 slipper clutch."

I don't know just seems to me that the wording points toward a new release of this kit to freshen up those "vintage buggies. " Then there's the timing of this. They just released two cars with it so they have the parts. They are seemingly about to drop the graphite chassis on us. And staying true to the past it will come with the 6 gear, however, many people including myself bought the graphite with the stealth option. Seems to me like they are creating the same options all over again.

As I said before. Is AE really going to let Fan RC out do them with a graphite chassis car by releasing it without a stealth while the FR-01 comes with a stealth replica? Well yes and no. Yes they will offer the car without the stealth. Keeping the purists happy but I would argue no they won't let Fan be the only graphite out there with a stealth. You'll be able to setup yours with one. You know... for an extra $100.

They release a true to original graphite car with 6 gear. AE wins.
They make it so you can configure it with a stealth. AE wins.
They get an extra $100 for your trouble. AE wins
The FR-01 no longer has any right to be deemed superior due to its transmission. AE wins.
This tranny can be fit into all of your vintage rc10's, all of your re release rc10's and also some of its variants like the rc10T and Rc10 DS. AE wins.

I'm clearly trying to will this into reality. I did ask an AE rep about this. About the stealth being offered as a stand alone kit. He simply said wait until the end of the week. So a few weeks later I found the link I provided above.

Maybe AE is going to spin this in order to allow for two more RC10 Graphite re-releases:

RC10 Graphite = 6 Gear
RC10 Graphite Team Car = Stealth, hard anodized shocks
🤷🏻‍♂️

I'm going to throw it out there that after the graphite team car, comes the black tub team car. All the parts are already there now with the current kits and would follow the timeline of the cars. whether they re-release the worlds car or not hard to say.

They do have the gold tub team car available now so that would be an easy one to make happen. I'm sure this has been talked about before but what's the hierarchy of these kits? Which one is top dog? I guess i should specify that I'm talking about performance. I know the original is the GOAT. I always imagined that it was world's car is top dog. Team car is next then maybe the championship edition...? All with the tub chassis. Then you want to throw in the graphite chassis which I think only applies to the team car and C.E. car but I also don't really think that the chassis moves the needle much. When the world's car came out as a tub only car it pretty much signaled that the graphite chassis did not offer a big advantage. So where the graphite falls into place probably depends on personal preference or experience. I guess this all depends on the specs for each. Like my C.E. had full bearings, stealth tranny and hard coated shocks. I don't think this was the basic C.E. kit. And i couldn't tell you what other than the graphite chassis separates it from a worlds car or team car. Id love everyone's input so please correct me where I'm wrong. I'm just wondering.
