Re: The next rere... a GT?!!
Maybe I’m not enough into the gt, but this looks like a reissue done right. It may get me to assemble the multiple piles of gt parts I have into a gt. That gold chassis looks excellent and I will finally have a gold nose plate for for gold tub 10t.
Good way to end 2024 AE!

SH .12 is the best option bang for the buck. Otherwise an onroad .12 engine. Pipe choice is very important and will wake the truck up.

Re: The next rere... a GT?!!
Are you seeing a SH .12 with a standard crank and no pull start? I was searching all night last night and all I came up with were a Force and a Traxxas sold in those configurations still. The SH and others I found were all rear exhaust with SG cranks.Superathlete wrote: ↑Wed Jan 01, 2025 10:13 am SH .12 is the best option bang for the buck. Otherwise an onroad .12 engine. An onroad .12 won't work...those are rear exhaust, pull carbSuperathlete wrote: ↑Wed Jan 01, 2025 10:13 amSH .12 is the best option bang for the buck. Otherwise an onroad .12 engine. Pipe choice is very important and will wake the truck up.

.18 buggy engine here will drop right in...side exhaust, rotary carb..$149...I have one in my Monster Beetle...runs really good....carb doesn't have low end needle adjustment so it run a bit fat off the line..but good engines...it was fully broke in too

Re: The next rere... a GT?!!
The pull start kills those, the header won't clear it and you would need the tall engine mounts for pull start.
I did just send them an email coincidentally asking if they would want to make the K&B available with no pull start. The K&B are still made in the USA and the quality is pretty good.

Re: The next rere... a GT?!!
In the meantime I ordered up a small block no pull start and crank Force 15 from AliExpress. They have some coupons available that will vary for buyers. In the past Force were pretty decent, Ofna used to distribute them.
Edit, sounds like force is done now so might not be a good viable option past these few left

They could do some serious business if they would do this with the GT coming..they should cut you in for 10% for thinking of that!

Re: The next rere... a GT?!!
It's stupidly simple too, they sell an airplane version of the engine that could be fitted with the carburator (need the 45⁰ needle valve) and the machined cooling head, or take the car engine they sell and swap the crank and backplate. Either way, it would be a crazy easy way to sell engines.
